Its a small detail, but a polished one. From hair ties/clips, to dresses, shoes and jewelry, I love the knotted, tied up, twisted detailing on our favorite basics. You can find them on cotton tees, tailored knits and dresses, pants/shorts, shoes and accessories.

A comfortable tee with a tied up waist, is way more interesting that the usual boxed tee. High waisted pants or shorts with a tied up belt, or tie waist is still easy for weekday, all day wear but so much cooler than your usual chino. As you run from her to there and everywhere, your shoes don’t have to be basic to be efficient. So many cute tied up mules, flats and sandals to dress up your feet. Throw your hair up with a scarf, or pre-tied scrunchie (yup, they’re back), or a flirty feminine clip/hair tie for the right touch of sweetness.

My favorite way to wear this, is on a well tailored shirt or dress, because it’s polished perfection. White feels right, but there are endless options in other solid/printed options as well. Below are a few of my favorite ways to get tied up this summer:
