Includes 4 thick slices of locally-made sourdough bread and shredded gruyere.

To serve: warm soup and divide evenly in oven-proof bowls. Top with one slice of bread and shredded cheese and place under oven broiler for 30-60 seconds, keeping a close eye on it, until cheese is melted and bubbling.
