Ariat Victoria Hiker $298

I’m a self confessed shoe addict, I never leave a store without stopping by the shoe department and I usually start there. I love the shape and silhouette of a shoe, how it can transform the ordinary into extraordinary. A great shoe can elevate your look and draw the eye from top to bottom in full style-review. One of my favorite lines ever…”In a good shoe, I wear a size six, but a seven feels so good, I buy a size eight.” (Truvy, Steel Magnolias).
If you walk into my closet you will find shoes in at least 3 different sizes…sorry, not sorry.

In my heart of hearts, I’m a sucker for a high heel, anything 4″ and over, give me a platform and I can walk for days. These days, high heels are not part of my everyday norm, but since I prefer to look at the bright side of things that means I am enjoying an expanded shoe collection to include varying heights of flats, sandals, heels, boots and everything in between. Always look on the bright side of life, right? (Monty Python)

This season, I cannot get enough of the Hiker Boot trend. Maybe you already have this in your closet, we do have a variety of mountains, state & national parks and the weather to support this staple. If so, pull them out and style them up. I love them with skinnies, cropped flared denim, and a loose skirt. Wear them with a great casual sweatshirt, or toughen up a sleek blazer.

If you need an excuse to shop, here are a few of my favorites I have seen around town, and online (pictured above is the Ariat Victoria Hiker, $298 (click image to shop!)).
Go ahead, take a hike!
