If you are in a fitness funk, the New Year is a perfect time to step out of your comfort zone and try something new. Make a mind-body connection, use your own body weight and feel muscles burning you didn’t even know you had. Try a new studio or instructor and make your fitness world a little bit bigger.

I took my first Bar Method class, six years ago on the first day the studio opened.
I instantly feel in love with the barre workout. Pilates was my thing for over 15 years, so I was skeptical to try a new workout. I quickly learned there were many similarities between Pilates and the Bar Method. The main similarity being the mind/body connection. And for me, thats a core piece to my lifestyle.

The Bar Method is unique to other barre classes because it is truly a method. It was created under the guidance of physical therapists to ensure it is safe and effective for all clients spanning in a wide range of abilities. The signature method uses your own body weight, the ballet barre and a few props to create a transformative workout leaving you with long, lean sculpted muscles. And the music can’t be beat! It is a workout that is safe and sustainable for life.

I am Lindsay Ford and I have been teaching at The Bar Method Hingham since 2016. I love teaching. I love helping clients achieve and maintain their fitness goals. Come on in and shake things up with us at The Bar Method Hingham… and feel the burn! It will be worth it. I promise.

Try a class this week!
